It gives us immense pleasure to announce the much awaited results of Phase 2 of the International Research Paper Writing Competition 2013 organized by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi under the aegis of annual management festival Quo Vadis Gold 2013.
The entries of the following participants have been selected among the top 10 research papers-

The top 5 participants will be presenting their papers in front of esteemed judges and the final rankings will be declared during Quo Vadis Gold 2013 at IIFT Delhi Campus

With rapid economic advancement and modernization in every sector, this quote clearly depicts the wave of globalization sweeping across the business environment in the emerging economies, with assurance of further transformation and penetration in not only the existing categories, but also a solid consumption growth in new categories and products. The main drivers behind this phenomenon are rising incomes, favourable demographics and increasing urbanization.


With a view to generate fresh ideas, research and viewpoints on the opportunities in retail sector, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade presents the International Research Paper Writing Competition as a unique platform for the best students world over to battle it out through ground-breaking research and ideation.

Opportunities and challenges for investment in retail sector in emerging economies


Sub Themes-
a. Investment in retail sector- Emerging country experiences
b. The organized and the unorganized retail in emerging economies- Synergies with investment plans
c. Retail and the SME sector
Note: The applicants are free to choose any sub-theme in addition to those listed above.

General Rules and Regulations-
• The event will take place in three phases
• Participation is open to students from any under graduate & post-graduate course
A team of 2 members from the same institute and course can co-author the paper.
• There is no registration fees
