We, the Marketing Club of IIM Shillong, are inviting articles for our June 2017 Issue from all the B-schools of India. The articles can be specific to the regular sections of Markathon which includes: 

Perspective

The articles will be published under the Perspective section of our magazine. They can be written to depict any of the following

Perspective: Articles related to development of latest trends in marketing arena.

Product-o-lysis: Analysis of a product from the point of view of marketing.

Strategic Analysis: A complete analysis of the marketing strategy of any company or an event.

Apart from above, out of the box views related to marketing are also welcome


Rules for the articles

  1. Mention your name, institute/organization with the article.
  2. The number of authors can be 3 at max.
  3. Format: Font - Times New Roman, Size - 12, Word Limit - 2000 in word doc/ docx.
  4. Plagiarized articles will not be accepted.
  5. Entries should be named <Article Name>_<Sender's Name>_<Institute>

Please keep in mind that we will only consider those articles which are exclusively written for this magazine and not published elsewhere. Also please note that for the perspectives section, we are more interested in YOUR take on the events and not just what happened.

Eye 2 Eye (View/Counterview)

The second competition is regarding a write-up on your views on the given topic. The write-up will be published in the magazine as well, under our monthly section Eye2Eye. The write-up can be for the topic or against the topic   

Topic- “Digital Marketing is all about numbers and does not guarantee actual engagement with the brand beyond those views, likes and shares“

Rules for the write-ups

  1. Mention your name, institute/organization with the article.
  2. Only one person per entry is allowed
  3. Format: Font - Times New Roman, Size - 12, Word Limit – 250-300 in word doc/ docx.
  4. Please send a formal photograph of yours in jpeg format along with the entry. Entries without photograph will be discarded.
  5. Entries should be named <Article Name>_<Sender's Name>_<Institute>


Corporate Speaks (Corporates only, Not for students)

  1. Mention your name, and organization name with the article.
  2. The number of authors can be 3 at max.
  3. Format: Font - Times New Roman, Size - 12, Length <= 5 Pages in word doc/ docx.
  4. Plagiarized articles will not be accepted.
  5. Entries should be named <Article Name>_<Sender's Name>_<Organization>


PRIZES:

The best article will receive a letter of appreciation with a cash prize of Rs. 1000/- and Silent Voice winner will receive a letter of appreciation along with a cash prize of Rs. 500/. The two selected entries for Eye2Eye (view/counterview) will receive letters of appreciation along with cash prize of Rs. 500 each.
