Design360 : Stages and Timelines
Offline Hackathon
In this event, the participants will be given a problem statement, and they design innovative solutions to the problem (in stages). Each team will deliver a walkthrough of their brainstorming sessions, show demographics of the audience impacted and the stakeholders, do surveys and interviews to explore the problem in detail, a video trying to sell the product and explaining its social relevance, a clickable UI/UX prototype for their idea and a final report to justify the need for their solution. The participants shall be holistically evaluated in the fields of product design, interaction design, idea generation and relevance of the solution for the stakeholders.
All that you need to know about Design360
Design 360 is a Designathon which focuses on designing a solution to a given problem. The main objective is to come up with a creative solution to the given problem through digital designing and prototyping, focusing on UI/UX.
When and Where?
The shortlisted teams will be called for the onsite hackathon on 23rd and 24th August at IIIT Delhi.
Event Structure
We'll be shortlisting the teams based on their previous work and/or their design process. Shortlisted teams will be called for the overnight Designathon to be held at IIIT Delhi.
The onsite designathon will mainly be segregated into 3 sections:
Understand and Think: The participants will be presented with the problem statement and they would have to come up with a rough mock-up.
Create: Work on their proposed idea to the chosen problem through prototyping and designing.
Present: Final pitching of the idea with presentation and report.
Eligibility Criteria: School/College students
Team Structure
Each team would have at least 3 members and at max 5 members. Individual registrations will be done and teams can be formed onsite. Cross college/school teams are allowed.
Rules and Regulations
The participants must carry an identity card along with them.
The participants must carry any electronic gadget that they feel they might require during the hackathon.
We will provide an internet connection for the participants.
The deadlines (if any) must be strictly adhered to and any violation can lead to penalty/disqualification.
Any kind of plagiarism/stealing of an idea will lead to immediate disqualification.
There will be a fixed amount of time allocated for presenting the solution to judges.
